Somewhere in the world right now, someone is revising what they have memorised and needs an ear. Somewhere else, someone knows that same portion by heart and has ten minutes to spare.
Tasmee puts the two together. Nothing to arrange, and no distance in the way. A brother in London recites to a brother in Lagos. A sister in Cairo listens to a sister in Toronto. A teacher hears their students wherever they are.
Tasmee pairs you with another Muslim, live, so you can revise your memorisation out loud and be corrected.
Tasmee only ever pairs brothers with brothers and sisters with sisters. This cannot be changed later.
Under 18 is welcome, with an adult looking after it. Tasmee will then only ever pair you with people in your circles — your class, your teacher, your family — and never with someone you don’t know.
Add as much as you know by heart. You can recite it, and you can listen to others reciting it.
One minute, and you'll never need this screen again.
Brothers are only ever paired with brothers, and sisters with sisters. Nothing is recorded — no part of any recitation is saved, anywhere.
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ
What Tasmee may tell you, and when.
Choose your days, and a time for each — different days have different rhythms. Tasmee will remind you to recite to someone. Nothing is counted, and a day you miss is just a day you missed.
Everything Tasmee does about safety is on this one screen, including the parts that are not solved yet.
Tasmee is not adults-only. A madrasah has children and adults in it, and both belong here — but not on the same terms.
The whole list, nothing left off:
Said here rather than buried, because you should know before you trust it:
A circle is people you know: a class, a family, a few friends. Everything about how Tasmee pairs you stays the same — brothers with brothers, sisters with sisters.
Someone in the circle gives you its code.
You'll get a code to share. You decide who comes in.
Anyone with this code can ask to join. You approve them.
Sittings inside Tasmee are written down by themselves. This is for one you did face to face.
The tick is today’s wird. The count is sittings in the last seven days. Tap anyone to see their whole record.
Kept for as long as you want it. Nothing here but a portion, a name and a date — no recording was ever made. Remove any line whenever you like.
Add everything you want to get through in one sitting.
Tasmee is new, so there may be nobody free yet. Leave this open — the moment someone becomes available you'll be connected.
Everything you've memorised is offered by default. Narrow it if you only want to hear a certain part today.
Keep this open. When someone needs a listener for something you know, Tasmee will connect you.
Checking that others can see you…
Keep this screen open and don't let the phone lock, or others stop seeing you.
